OU Board of Regents reviews funding for athletics projects and Opendorse agreement

The OU Board of Regents is set to meet on Tuesday at the OU Health Campus in Oklahoma City. Among the items on the agenda is the issuance of approximately $420 million in bonds to fund student housing, parking, and enhancements to athletics facilities, including updates to Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The renovations plan includes new suites, loge boxes, club seats, and improved amenities, with construction expected to start after the 2027 season. Additionally, the regents will consider a $2.3 million purchase agreement with Opendorse Inc to provide NIL software for the Sooners. They will also review the budget for the Kimrey Family Stadium project and contracts for athletics personnel.
