Owen Cuffe promoted to assistant director of pitching for Rockies

Owen Cuffe has been promoted to Assistant Director of Pitching for the Colorado Rockies as confirmed on October 28, 2026. Cuffe joined the organization earlier this year as a pitching and rehab coach in the Arizona Complex League. His promotion comes as the Rockies are restructuring their coaching staff following the departure of Alon Leichman. Cuffe previously worked on pitch design and has helped players improve their mechanics. He will report to Matt Daniels, the Rockies’ Director of Pitching, who was appointed in December 2025.
