Padres rally for 7-5 victory over Guardians in series opener

The San Diego Padres came from behind to defeat the Cleveland Guardians 7-5 in the first game of their series on August 14. After falling behind 3-0 in the early innings, the Padres responded with key hits in the fourth and fifth innings, including a two-run homer by Xander Bogaerts and a solo shot from Fernando Tatis Jr. The Guardians narrowed the lead to 5-4 before the Padres extended their advantage with additional runs in the seventh.
