Paityn Donalson commits to Florida State for 2028 softball cycle

Florida State softball secured its first commitment for the 2028 recruiting class on Wednesday with the addition of Paityn Donalson. A Lakeland, Florida native, Donalson plays both infield and outfield positions. She has competed for the Lakeland Christian High School varsity team since her seventh-grade year. During her sophomore high school season, Donalson recorded a.693 batting average with 11 home runs and 50 RBI over 27 games. Her career high school statistics include a.595 batting average and 93 stolen bases across 88 appearances. Donalson announced her decision to join the program via social media.
