Morgan identified the duo as a primary defensive pairing, citing their range and ability to cover and blitz as key factors in the decision. This addition marks a significant roster shift for the Panthers, who previously utilized various players like Josey Jewell, Trevin Wallace, Christian Rozeboom, and Claudin Cherelus in the middle of their defense. In related roster moves, the team also signed linebacker Tyrel Dodson to the practice squad. Dodson joins the organization following a 2025 season with the Miami Dolphins where he recorded career highs in tackles and sacks.
