Parkway, Captain Shreve, and Haughton secure high school football victories

High school football programs across the Shreveport area recorded wins on September 11. Parkway secured a 42-41 victory over Loyola after Bryston McCoy connected with Thad Smith for a two-point conversion in the final minute. Captain Shreve rebounded from a Week 1 loss with a 51-6 win against Bastrop, while Haughton moved to 2-0 following a 50-0 shutout of Southwood. North DeSoto defeated Natchitoches Central 56-21 behind five touchdown passes from Mason Smith. Additionally, Booker T. Washington improved to 2-0 with a 30-16 win over Benton, and Northwood registered a 28-22 victory against West Ouachita. Other results included wins for Calvary, Minden, Haynesville, Green Oaks, and Karr.
