Pato O’Ward captures two race victories during Milwaukee double-header

Pato O’Ward became the first IndyCar driver since 1981 to record two race wins on the same day during a rescheduled weekend at the Milwaukee Mile. After heavy rain forced the postponement of Saturday’s race, O’Ward secured victory in the morning session before winning the Makers and Finders 250 later in the day. He defeated Scott McLaughlin and Christian Lundgaard in the first contest, then overcame David Malukas and Rinus Veekay in the afternoon. The performance earned O’Ward 104 points, placing him fourth in the overall season standings. He currently trails leader Kyle Kirkwood by two points as the series enters the final race of the season. The championship concludes at Laguna Seca on September 6.
