Patriots and Seahawks rosters feature players with ties to both franchises

The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks prepare to face off in a Super Bowl LX rematch at Lumen Field on Wednesday at 8:20 p.m. ET. Ahead of the season opener, four players currently on active rosters, practice squads, or reserve lists have previously spent time with both organizations. Tight end Eric Saubert, currently with the Seahawks, was previously a member of the Patriots in 2019. New England guard Ben Brown, guard Greg Van Roten, and outside linebacker Dre'Mont Jones all have prior tenures with the Seattle organization. Brown spent time on the Seattle practice squad in 2023, while Van Roten had a six-month stint in Seattle in 2014. Jones played for Seattle across two campaigns before joining the Patriots this past March. These roster connections highlight the shared personnel history between the two teams as they enter the 2026 season.
