Penei Sewell earns spot on USA TODAY All-2000s college football team

Former Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell earned a second-team selection on the USA TODAY All-2000s college football team. The honor recognizes his performance in Eugene from 2018 to 2019, where he became the first unanimous first-team All-American in school history. During his tenure as a starter, Sewell allowed only one sack across nearly 1,400 snaps and secured the Outland Trophy as a sophomore. He helped the Ducks win the 2020 Rose Bowl before entering the 2021 NFL Draft as a seventh overall pick. Sewell shares the All-2000s second-team designation with former Alabama lineman Alex Leatherwood.
