Penn State defeats Temple 27-9 to open college football season

Penn State secured a 27-9 victory over Temple on Saturday to start the college football season. After a slow offensive start in the first half, quarterback Rocco Becht found a rhythm by completing 12 consecutive passes across the second and third quarters. Tight end Benjamin Brahmer provided a boost to the passing game with two touchdowns, while the defense, led by an early interception from Tony Rojas, held the Temple offense in check. The running game remains a work in progress for the Nittany Lions, with Carson Hansen leading the backfield with 84 yards on 19 carries. Special teams experienced mixed results, including a blocked field goal and a 2-for-3 performance from kicker Ryan Barker.
