Penn State football defeats Temple 27-3 at Lincoln Financial Field

Penn State defeated Temple 27-3 in a non-conference game played September 12 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. After a scoreless start, the Nittany Lions capitalized on a momentum-shifting touchdown catch by tight end Ben Brahmer late in the first half to break a 3-3 tie. Quarterback Rocco Becht recovered from a shaky opening to complete 20 of his final 23 pass attempts, throwing three touchdowns in the win. The defensive secondary held Temple to 107 passing yards, while linebacker Tony Rojas led the team with seven tackles and an interception. Despite trailing by three points in the first half, the Temple offense struggled to sustain drives after a 47-yard scramble by quarterback Jaxon Smolik provided early field position.
