Penta earns title match with WWE victory in Money in the Bank qualifier

When Penta first signed with WWE after a successful career outside the world’s largest pro wrestling promotion, it was worth wondering just how high up the card he could make it. The talent is there but would he prove to be a fit with a company that has struggled to make the most of its luchadores in the past? It didn’t take him long to win the Intercontinental title, be featured at WrestleMania, and win a tournament for the right to challenge Roman Reigns for the world heavyweight championship in Mexico City. His performance in the latter match was such rumors quickly got around that WWE execs started to view him as a main event level player. Now, Netflix has released its viewership for the Sept. 14 episode of Monday Night Raw and it was the highest rated episode of the show dating back to just after WrestleMania 42, at 3.1 million views. The nine week average is 2.5 million! That’s a big jump! They followed this up by having Penta replace a kidnapped Solo Sikoa in a Money in the Bank qualifier, and then gave him the victory, putting him in a marquee match at the next major premium live event with a guaranteed title match up for grabs. It’s clear WWE thinks highly of him right now. My question to you is simple: what’s his ceiling? Does he flirt with the top spot but never really get a run there? Could he be champion someday? Maybe reach the heights of Rey Mysterio? You tell me!
