PGA Tour announces schedule for 2027 season including key changes

The PGA Tour unveiled its 2027 FedExCup regular season schedule, which features 33 events. The season will start with The American Express at PGA WEST in La Quinta, California, on January 21. Noteworthy changes include moving The Sentry to Torrey Pines and the addition of the Sompo Championship in Napa, California. The PGA Championship will take place at the Fields Ranch East course in Frisco, marking the tournament's return to North Texas for the first time in 60 years. This season will be the last for the current playoff format before the PGA Tour Championship Series begins in 2028.
