Phillies deal with bullpen issues after extra-inning win over Blue Jays

Summary

The Philadelphia Phillies secured an extra-inning victory against the Toronto Blue Jays but are facing significant bullpen challenges as they head into the final stretch of the season. Despite winning, the bullpen has struggled, allowing late leads to slip in recent games. Currently holding the third NL wild-card spot, the Phillies are just one game ahead of the San Diego Padres, making their upcoming series against the St. Louis Cardinals crucial for their playoff hopes. Poor performances from relievers like Jose Alvarado and Orion Kerkering have raised concerns about their ability to hold leads in tight games moving forward.
