Phillies target standout prospects in 2026 MLB Draft preview

Summary

The Philadelphia Phillies are exploring key prospects ahead of the 2026 MLB Draft. Notable names include Peyton Bonds, an outfielder from Rutgers, who stands 6'5'' and weighs 230 lbs, and Landon Thome, a shortstop from Nazareth Academy, who showcases average to above-average skills. Dalton Wentz, a switch-hitting infielder from Wake Forest, faces pitch recognition challenges but has potential if he recalibrates his focus. Joseph Contreras, a right-handed pitcher from Blessed Trinity Catholic High School, possesses the tools to develop into a strong starter but has control inconsistencies to address. The draft will take place later this summer, and the Phillies aim to enhance their roster with these young talents.
