Poll opens for Montgomery-area private schools to win 2026 title

The Montgomery Advertiser has launched a poll for readers to vote on which private school football team in the Montgomery area has the best chance of winning a state title in 2026. The poll will run from August 9 to August 13. This follows the AHSAA's decision to separate private and public schools for postseason play, altering the competitive for local teams. In Single A, five private schools will compete, while Montgomery Catholic will represent Double A. Both Montgomery Catholic and Montgomery Academy are currently ranked in the ASWA's preseason football poll.
