Port Huron Northern and Marysville record first high school football wins

High school football teams across the Blue Water Area played a full slate of games on Friday, Sept. 11. Port Huron Northern secured its first win of the season by defeating Warren Mott 27-21, behind two rushing touchdowns each from Vincent Vennettilli and Jordan Ban. Marysville also earned its first victory, topping Warren Fitzgerald 28-18. Other results from the night included Almont moving to 3-0 after a 42-14 victory against Richmond, while Marine City and St. Clair both maintained undefeated records with wins over Clintondale and South Lake, respectively. Imlay City remained unbeaten by shutting out Croswell-Lexington 22-0. Schools now transition to their Week 4 schedules, with most teams returning to the field on Friday, Sept. 18.
