Pro Football Focus names Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram top pass-rushing duo

Pro Football Focus ranked the 2017 Chargers tandem of Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram among the best single-season pass-rushing pairs of the past decade. During that season, Bosa recorded 75 pressures and 13 sacks, while Ingram produced 76 pressures and 11 sacks. Both defenders placed in the top seven for pass-rush grade and the top eight for pass-rush win rate among eligible defensive linemen. Despite the duo's individual performance, the 2017 Chargers finished with a 9-7 record and missed the playoffs. Over their five seasons as teammates from 2016 to 2020, the pair combined for 61.5 sacks. While recognized for their statistical production, their tenure together yielded only one playoff victory.
