Purdue defeats Indiana State in season opener at Ross-Ade Stadium

Purdue opened its 2026 season with a 44-19 victory over Indiana State on September 4 at Ross-Ade Stadium. The Boilermakers led 16-6 at halftime after struggling with penalties and red-zone execution during the first two quarters. The team found more offensive rhythm in the third quarter, scoring 14 unanswered points to extend the lead.
