Quarterback Chase Grove commits to Iowa football for the 2028 recruiting class

Chase Grove, a class of 2028 quarterback from Indianapolis, announced his commitment to Iowa football on September 12. The North Central High School prospect selected the Hawkeyes over offers from several programs, including Purdue, Minnesota, Kansas State, Iowa State, Kansas, and North Carolina. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, the three-star recruit has recorded 1,004 passing yards and 10 touchdowns through four games of his junior season. Grove previously completed 154-of-241 passes for 1,901 yards and 19 touchdowns as a sophomore. He joins defensive back Dwayle Smith and offensive lineman James Barnett as the third member of Iowa's 2028 recruiting class. The addition continues Iowa's recent recruiting success in Indiana, a state that has produced several players currently on the team's roster.
