Rayan Ait-Nouri looks to improve after challenging Manchester City debut season

Summary

Rayan Ait-Nouri is looking to bounce back after a frustrating first season at Manchester City. He made only 28 appearances in all competitions, hampered by an early ankle injury in the 2025-26 season and participation in the African Cup of Nations with Algeria. Ait-Nouri expressed his dissatisfaction with his last season's performance in a recent interview, stating he is eager to showcase his abilities under manager Enzo Maresca. The left-back role is competitive with players like Nico O’Reilly and Josko Gvardiol, but a change in tactics may create opportunities for Ait-Nouri this coming season.
