Real Madrid plans to sell Raul Asencio amid defensive overhaul

José Mourinho has authorized Real Madrid to sell 23-year-old academy graduate Raul Asencio. Despite being seen as a player with long-term potential, Asencio's future at the club looks uncertain with Mourinho's emphasis on reshaping the defense. The club secured Asencio until 2031 last year, but the signing of Ibrahima Konate and the renewal of Antonio Rudiger have created a crowded defensive lineup. Madrid aims to structure any deal to protect their investment, potentially including clauses to retain future involvement if he excels elsewhere.
