Real Madrid secures 1-0 win over Villarreal behind Yan Diomande goal

Summary

Real Madrid claimed a narrow 1-0 victory against Villarreal on October 10, with Yan Diomande scoring the decisive goal. The match marked Madrid's return to form after a disappointing defeat in the Madrid derby. Vinicius Jr. was sent off due to a red card offense involving hair-pulling, which will sideline him for El Clasico and at least one additional match. This win helped Madrid earn its second clean sheet of the season, a much-needed improvement in their defensive performance. Despite the victory, questions remain about their consistency and ability to challenge for the title.
