Regional athletic programs record early season results in multiple sports

Regional high school teams competed across multiple sports late this week, led by River View volleyball earning a four-set victory against Indian Valley on Aug. 29. On the soccer pitch, Coshocton defeated Zanesville 3-1, while River View secured a 1-0 win against Albany Alexander behind a goal from Kasen Summers. Tri-Valley also notched a 5-2 soccer win against West Holmes. Meanwhile, runners participated in several cross-country invitationals, including the Pickerington North Invitational where Hudson Wilson placed third in the boys race. Additional cross-country athletes from Sheridan, Zanesville, and Maysville competed at events in Granville and elsewhere. John Glenn’s volleyball team concluded play at the Shaner-Wohrer Memorial with a third-place finish after a three-set loss to Lancaster and wins against New Hope Christian and Granville.
