Rey Fenix defeats Ricky Saints to retain AAA Cruiserweight Championship on SmackDown

Rey Fenix successfully defended the AAA Cruiserweight Championship against Ricky Saints during the September 11 episode of WWE SmackDown. Saints dominated the early portions of the contest, focusing on wearing the champion down on the mat and outside the ring near the barricade. Fenix mounted a comeback featuring a hurricanrana, multiple moonsaults, and a cross-body attempt. After avoiding a Rochambeau attempt, Fenix hit a handspring cutter followed by a Mexican Musclebuster to secure the pinfall victory. Fenix now prepares for a four-way title defense scheduled for Sunday at AAA TripleMania 34. He will face Nathan Frazer, Jack Cartwheel, and Mini Vikingo in that upcoming match.
