Richarlison and Tottenham discuss potential transfer to Everton

Tottenham striker Richarlison is linked with a return to Everton ahead of the Tuesday transfer deadline. The 29-year-old expressed a desire to return to his former club, where he played from 2018 to 2022, following recent friction at Tottenham. Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi stated the player was excluded from the squad during a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle because he requested to leave. Richarlison disputed the characterization of events on social media, emphasizing his professional commitment to the club while asserting his autonomy in future career decisions. Despite the current tension, the forward remains under contract at Tottenham and continues to be available for selection. Both clubs are currently in negotiations regarding a potential deal for the Brazil international.
