Rodeo at the Racetrack brings professional rodeo events to Sam Houston Race Park

Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association athletes will compete at Sam Houston Race Park in northwest Houston on Nov. 6 and 7. The event represents a stop in the Rodeo at the Racetrack series, which connects professional rodeo competitions with horse racing venues. The inaugural event was held in 2024 at Canterbury Park near Minneapolis. The Houston schedule features bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, and bull riding. The weekend includes a gala, a silent auction, and music to benefit Camp Hope, a program for military veterans. Tickets for the general public start at $25, with gates opening at 5 p.m. and competition beginning at 7 p.m. daily.
