Roy Williams visits UNC Greensboro men’s basketball team at Monday practice

Former University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill head coach Roy Williams attended the UNC Greensboro men’s basketball team practice on Monday. Williams’ visit included time with staff members he previously worked with, including head coach Jerod Haase. Haase played for Williams at the University of Kansas from 1994 to 1997 and served as an assistant under him at both Kansas and UNC. The UNCG coaching staff also features David Noel III, a former player who won the 2005 National Championship under Williams at UNC. The practice session coincided with growing local interest in the Spartans, specifically surrounding the arrival of freshman Dionte Neal. Ranked as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, Neal is considered one of the top point guard prospects in the country and is expected to contribute to the team this year.
