Ruben Dias, who has previously captained the team, is being considered as the leading candidate, with Rodri and Erling Haaland also in contention. Incoming manager Enzo Maresca is expected to announce the new captain in the coming weeks. City’s leadership group has previously seen influence from Pep Guardiola, who selected the captain himself.
