Rummel and Ponchatoula showcase talent in annual scrimmage

Rummel and Ponchatoula faced off in their annual scrimmage on August 21 at Joe Yenni Stadium. Colton Nussmeier made his debut as Rummel's quarterback, completing 6 of 8 passes and throwing a 20-yard touchdown to Kirby Cade Jr. Ponchatoula's Will Walker excelled with over 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Under first-year head coach Scott Shaffett, Ponchatoula demonstrated resilience against a strong Rummel defense. Both teams will participate in jamborees next week, with Rummel set to face St. Paul's and Ponchatoula squaring off against Albany.
