Rusev plans WWE television return following injury and illness

WWE performer Rusev has been absent from television broadcasts since a July 27 match against Je'Von Evans on Raw. Reports indicate Rusev experienced neck numbness during the bout after landing awkwardly, prompting the referee to inquire if the match should be halted. Though Rusev insisted on continuing, he was subsequently placed in concussion protocol. After taking time off to recover, he returned to the Performance Center in Orlando but was further sidelined by an illness. He is currently awaiting medical clearance and is projected to resume his television appearances sometime this month. Prior to this absence, Rusev had been active in tag team bouts alongside Ethan Page and participated in a number one contender's gauntlet match for the Intercontinental Championship.
