Ryder Fetterolf, selected 125th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2026 NHL Draft, is set to join Penn State Hockey for the 2026-27 season. At 6 feet and 185 pounds, the 18-year-old goaltender from Pittsburgh recorded a.923 save percentage and six shutouts last season. Fetterolf was named the OHL Goaltender of the Year after posting a 29-9-3 record. He faces competition from returning goaltender Josh Fleming, who excelled as a freshman last season. Fetterolf is expected to start a few non-conference games early in the season to provide Fleming with some rest before Big Ten play begins.
