Saltburn concede cup match amid investigation over finger-clicking claims

Summary

Saltburn Cricket Club's second team has conceded a scheduled cup match against Marton's second team due to insufficient players, attributed to the holiday season. This decision follows an ongoing investigation by the North Yorkshire and South Durham Cricket League regarding alleged cheating involving Saltburn's player Brian Devine. A controversial incident during a previous match against Norton, captured on video, has led to claims of impropriety. The league, Saltburn, and associated parties have refrained from commenting publicly on the matter. A meeting earlier this week with legal representatives has yet to yield any public outcome.
