Sam Erbach scores two second-half goals as Florida State defeats Georgia

No. 15 Florida State moved to 4-1 on the season after a 2-1 victory against No. 25 Georgia at the Turner Soccer Complex in Athens. Georgia initially took a lead in the 35th minute following an Emma Pettersen goal that occurred after a weather delay. The Seminoles remained scoreless until the 82nd minute when Sam Erbach capitalized on a loose ball to secure an equalizer. Shortly after, a video review awarded Florida State a penalty kick following a foul on Shaneil Buckley. Erbach converted the opportunity in the 89th minute to complete the comeback. Florida State prepares to host Rice at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Tallahassee on Sunday, September 6, at noon.
