St. Thomas Aquinas and Dover golf teams sweep competition on Thursday

High school golf teams competed across several regional venues on Thursday. St. Thomas Aquinas secured a Division II victory at Beaver Meadow Golf Course with a team score of 193, led by Cooper Coate’s 2-under-par 34. Dover moved to a 6-0 record after a 191 team score at Bretwood Golf Course, where Ty Buchanan earned co-medalist honors. Elsewhere, Portsmouth finished first in a four-team match at Sky Meadow Country Club with a 199. In girls soccer, Winnacunnet and Exeter earned Division I victories, while Portsmouth Christian Academy and Newmarket picked up wins in Division IV. The girls soccer action also featured a 3-3 draw between Traip Academy and Poland, while the boys soccer schedule saw Thornton Academy prevail 2-1 over Marshwood in overtime.
