San Diego FC hosted Club Puebla at Snapdragon Stadium on August 12, 2026, finishing their Leagues Cup run with a 3-2 victory. Osvald Søe opened the scoring for SDFC in the 4th minute, followed by a goal from Kevin Velasco for Puebla at the 30-minute mark. SDFC pulled ahead with goals from David Vazquez and Dagur Thórhallsson in quick succession in the 76th and 80th minutes, respectively. Eduardo Mustre scored for Puebla in the 87th minute, but SDFC held on to secure the win, ending Phase One with six points from three games. SDFC will return to MLS action against LAFC on August 15.
