San Diego FC announced Thursday that defender Manu Duah has signed a long-term contract extension. The deal keeps the 21-year-old with the club through the 2029-30 season and includes a club option for the 2030-31 campaign. Duah joined the organization as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft after playing at UC Santa Barbara. He has since become a fixture on the San Diego back line, making 22 appearances during his rookie season and increasing his involvement to 26 appearances throughout the 2026 season. Sporting director Tyler Heaps cited Duah's consistent development and performances as key factors in the decision to secure the defender for the future. The Ghanaian defender also contributed his first professional goal for the club during a Concacaf Champions Cup match against Pumas UNAM earlier this year.
