San Francisco Firebells begin WPBL semi-final series against Boston Hunters

The inaugural season of the Women’s Professional Baseball League moves to the postseason today as the first-place San Francisco Firebells host the fourth-place Boston Hunters. The teams meet in a best-of-three semi-final series following the conclusion of the regular season. The Firebells enter the playoffs after winning two of their three matchups against the Hunters last week. Game 1 is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. PT at Robin Roberts Stadium, with broadcast coverage on ESPN+ and YouTube. The series continues Friday at 3:00 p.m. PT, with a third game scheduled for Sunday at 12:00 p.m. PT if necessary. The winner of this series advances to the best-of-five Championship Series to play either the New York Heights or the Los Angeles Queens.
