San José State plays Eastern Michigan in regular season matchup

San José State travels to Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti tonight to face Eastern Michigan. Kickoff for the non-conference game is scheduled for 6:30 PM ET. The Spartans arrive with an 0-1 record following a season-opening 42-26 loss to No. 14 USC. During that game, quarterback Luke Weaver recorded 234 passing yards and two touchdowns along with a rushing score. Eastern Michigan enters the contest at 1-0 after a 28-17 win against Sacramento State. Eagles quarterback Noah Kim, who led the MAC in passing yards last season, was recently named the conference offensive player of the week. While the programs have met twice previously in bowl games, this event marks the first regular-season meeting between the two schools.
