San Jose State rallies to beat Eastern Michigan in non-conference road win

San Jose State overcame an early deficit to secure a 27-21 road victory against Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti. The Spartans struggled initially, punting on their first two possessions and turning the ball over on downs during the third. Quarterback Luke Weaver stabilized the offense, finishing the game 23-of-41 for 316 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, San Jose State limited Eastern Michigan throughout the second half after allowing a 50-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter. The Spartans recorded 74 tackles and Dylan Lee added a fourth-quarter interception to help seal the result. Despite committing 13 penalties for 100 yards, the team maintained its offensive rhythm through short hook routes and a late 40-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Hoch.
