Scott Phelan appointed permanent head coach of Everton Women

Scott Phelan has been named the permanent head coach of Everton Women, effective immediately. He previously served as the interim manager, leading the team to an eighth-place finish in the Women's Super League last season following his appointment in February. Phelan took over when former coach Brian Sorensen was dismissed, managing to secure three consecutive WSL victories shortly after taking charge. A product of Everton's youth system, Phelan has been part of the coaching staff since 2012. He aims to push the team towards the higher end of the league table. Phil Jevons will continue to assist Phelan in his new role.
