Sean Strickland criticizes Justin Gaethje for supporting Donald Trump

Summary

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland publicly questioned lightweight titleholder Justin Gaethje regarding his continued political support for Donald Trump. The exchange follows Gaethje’s appearance on stage at the 2026 Republican midterm convention held in Dallas. During the event, Gaethje urged supporters to remain active in the electoral process following the 2024 presidential results. Strickland, a former Trump supporter who has since turned into a critic of the former president, voiced his disapproval on social media. He cited specific grievances regarding unfulfilled promises on border security, foreign conflicts, cost of living, and government spending. Additionally, Strickland challenged a campaign proposal involving a $5,000 dividend for citizens, questioning the financial feasibility of the plan.
