Section V soccer polls determine regional player of the year candidates

Section V high school soccer programs have opened voting for the 2026 small and large school boys player of the year awards. The polls, presented by Turf Masters, feature 13 athletes from classes B, C and D, alongside 16 student-athletes representing classes AAA, AA and A. Candidates include returning All-Greater Rochester selections from 2025 and various all-league honorees. Readers are invited to vote for their choices on which players will dominate the pitch throughout the current fall season. Voting for both categories closes at 8 p.m. on Sept. 12. Winners will be announced next week via the DandCSports Instagram page.
