Seminole defeats Eau Gallie 27-13 in weather-delayed football contest

Seminole moved to 3-0 on the season with a 27-13 victory over Eau Gallie on Sept. 4 in Sanford. The game faced a weather delay exceeding two hours and finished shortly before midnight. Seminole defensive back Joseph Watson IV anchored the win by returning a blocked field goal for a touchdown and recording an interception in the end zone. Quarterback Daniel Proenza contributed a 55-yard touchdown run and a touchdown pass to Ladarian Hill. Eau Gallie dropped to 1-2 after the loss, which included losing sophomore athlete X'Zavier Corbin to an upper-body injury in the first half. The Commodores struggled to convert in the red zone during the second half, stalling on three scoring opportunities.
