Sevilla agrees to cover 8 percent of Youssouf Fofana salary in loan

Sevilla confirmed the terms of the loan deal for Youssouf Fofana during the midfielder's introductory press conference on Wednesday. The Spanish club will be responsible for 8 percent of the player's salary while he is on loan from AC Milan. The agreement includes no option for a permanent transfer. Fofana arrived at Sevilla on deadline day after a potential move to Lyon failed to materialize. The 27-year-old French international was excluded from the AC Milan squad for the latter portion of their pre-season training. Under contract with AC Milan through June 2028, Fofana previously made 88 appearances for the Rossoneri. He made his debut for Sevilla as a substitute during a 1-1 draw against Espanyol last weekend.
