SFA appoints Matthew MacDermid to officiate Celtic match at St Johnstone

The Scottish Football Association has named Matthew MacDermid as the referee for Celtic’s upcoming Premiership away fixture against St Johnstone. MacDermid will be supported by assistant referees Ross Macleod and David Dunne, with Dan McFarlane serving as the fourth official. Grant Irvine has been appointed to handle VAR duties alongside assistant Duncan Williams. This marks MacDermid’s second Celtic appointment of the current season, following his officiating role in the team's 1-0 win over Dundee on the opening weekend. During his career, he has managed several high-profile Celtic fixtures, including both league and Scottish Cup matches.
