Shortstop Juan Diaz commits to Florida baseball recruiting class

Florida baseball added its 14th commitment for the 2027 recruiting class with the addition of Juan Diaz. The IMG Academy shortstop is ranked No. 23 overall in the class by Perfect Game and is considered a top 100 prospect for the 2027 MLB draft. Diaz, a switch hitter, hit.393 with five home runs during his most recent season. He previously held a commitment to Florida State before reopening his recruitment in June. His commitment bolsters a group that was previously ranked as the No. 10 recruiting class in the nation by Perfect Game.
