Simon Francis has created a collection of 84 Mitre footballs displayed in his home in Devon. Inspired by the Sky TV programme Soccer AM, Francis started this passion project 12 years ago. He aims to preserve the history of Mitre footballs, which have been integral to English football for over 200 years, and is amazed by the variety available. Despite receiving a £12,000 offer for his collection, Francis remains committed to continuing his pursuit of rare designs.
