Chicago Sky guard Skylar Diggins will miss the remainder of the season because of a lingering right knee injury. The 36-year-old veteran, who joined the team before the season, appeared in 19 games and recorded averages of 14.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.2 rebounds. Her absence concludes a season defined by inconsistency and injuries for the Chicago squad, which failed to qualify for the postseason. In a virtual press conference, Diggins expressed frustration regarding the team's ongoing logistical challenges, including the delayed construction of a dedicated practice facility. Despite these organizational hurdles and her personal injury recovery, she stated her intent to return to the team next season. The Sky have utilized the University of Illinois Chicago and Wintrust Arena for practices while awaiting the completion of their intended facility in Bedford Park.
