Solo Sikoa's kidnapping angle receives backlash on Monday Night Raw

Look, there’s a level of silly you simply have to accept when it comes to professional wrestling in 2026. We’ve simply gone too far down the rabbit hole after so many years of Vince McMahon at the helm of WWE for so long. It’s not all on him, of course, but that hardly matters. The point is this entire thing gets pretty dumb. Like, impossibly dumb. Such is the case when they run angles like they did on Monday Night Raw this week, where Solo Sikoa was kidnapped by the gang known as 946. They snagged him right before he could make his entrance for a scheduled Money in the Bank qualifying match. How did WWE play this? General Manager Adam Pearce simply replaced Sikoa with Penta — who went on to win the match to great fanfare — and moved on with his life. Thankfully, though, we got an update from social media — with WWE making sure it got visibility on its main channels — on just what happened with poor Solo: View this post on Instagram They brought him to an undisclosed location, took his hood off to act menacing while flicking a lighter for some reason, and then put the hood back over his head to do him like Claire Keesey, telling him to walk until he felt the grass. The man was wearing boots, with his hands tied in the front. The only redeeming quality of this entire segment was it kinda looked like Solo tried to blow the flame out when Royce Keys flicked that lighter on. Solo gonna Dolo and all that. Otherwise, yeah, this was dumb and bad.
